The hardware is made up of physical components such as the motherboard, processor, memory, and other components. The software is made up of programs and applications that tell the computer what to do.
When you turn on your computer, it first performs a process called booting up. This involves a series of checks to make sure that all of the hardware and software components are working properly. Once this is done, the computer is ready to begin processing instructions.
